The cabin itself exceeded expectations and the driveway definitely tested the limits of this flatlander's AWD vehicle (before this I wasn't sure why I had AWD on my new Corolla). We had many a laugh over the harrowing driveway and think you've missed a marketing opportunity for t-shirts saying "I SURVIVED THE DRIVEWAY TO BARRED OWL CABIN."

We knew this place was going to be awesome just driving to it. The neighborhood is filled with nothing but breath taking sites and views. We werent quite sure if we could make it up the hill with our vehicle, but the owner just happened to be at the entrance when we pulled up and reassured us as long as we have 4WD we could. It was a little scary the first drive up, but we made it! And the cabin was absolutely breathtaking. They had everything we needed. The woodwork, windows, furniture, accessories made it a true back woods camping experience that we will never forget. This place was a nature lovers dream.

Snowy Owl is only 5 minutes from the Nada Tunnel and 10 minutes from the Mountain Parkway at Slade. Nestled in a peaceful wooded setting the cabin has the feeling of absolute seclusion and privacy.
